“So shall I wait thy will, pray for it to be done, and by thy grace become fully obedient.”
– Valley of Vision
To be honest the last month or so has been anything but the planned, relaxing summer I thought I had in store. From a ministry perspective, Stacy and I have been praying and attempting to discern where God would have us plant roots for both our family and our vocation. It has been a fun process but given our human nature we can be distracted by fear and uncertainly along the way. But we remain, waiting on his will.
We pray for it, we prepare for it and we wait for it. I think it is all part of the growth process as we learn to rely more on God’s provision than our own abilities and strengths. His will, eventually will become clear and his sovereign plan will win out and we trust in this providence.
There are still a number of steps in our process but we hope to be in a place of decision by July. Until then we are wrestling and waiting.
According to my Kindle app, I’m 64% of the way through this book: http://www.amazon.com/Just-Do-Something-Decision-Without/dp/0802458386
It has changed the way I think about decision-making and the will of God. I hope it is helpful to you.
